Enrollment & Financial Aid

Summer Music Academy enrollment is on a first-come, first served basis. Class placement preference goes to Full-day participants. Auditions are required for Performance Academy courses.  Placement is determined by experience, skill level and age, as well as musical balance and instrumentation for the ensemble. We will place you in a class, but at the instructor's discretion your enrollment may be adjusted. To schedule an audition please contact Matt Payne, Youth Ensembles Manager, at (707) 546-7097 ext. 216. For more information, please contact Christina Penrose, Summer Music Academy Coordinator, at (707) 546-7097 x219.

Financial Aid

Applications for financial aid are available upon request, and they must be returned by May 25, 2017, for priority consideration. If financial aid is awarded, you are not eligible for any other discounts. A $50 Deposit is due at the time of application. For more information, contact Christina Penrose, Summer Music Academy Coordinator, at (707) 546-7097 ext. 219.

Instruments Violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, woodwind and brass players must provide their own instruments. Many percussion instruments will be provided, but it is a good idea for percussion students to have their own set of instruments at home for practice. The Santa Rosa Symphony does have a very small library of instruments that may be available for loan. If you would like a reference for acquiring instruments, please call Matt Payne (707) 546-7097 x 216.
