Santa Rosa Junior College Orchestra
Orchestra
The SRJC Orchestra performs a diverse array of literature from symphonic masterpieces to eclectic works of recent decades. Founded in 1980, the 55-member ensemble includes SRJC students and members of the local community.
Regular guest artists include conductors and coaches from groups such as the Santa Rosa Symphony, the Oakland Symphony, and the San Francisco Symphony. Recent concerts have featured major symphonies by Beethoven & Dvorak, as well as numerous world-premiere works. Each May, the buzz-building SpaRk! concert aims to attract new audiences to classical music.
The group rehearses Monday evenings 7–10 PM and performs twice per semester in the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Burbank Auditorium.
