Alex Volonts

Alex Volonts has been a member of the Santa Rosa Symphony since 2008 and is also a member of Monterey Symphony as well as an avid chamber musician.  He is a violin/viola teacher in Sonoma County and Head of Faculty of Simply Strings. The Simply Strings program was inspired by El Sistema, Venezuela’s acclaimed, social-action music network, Simply Strings develops musical excellence and promotes social engagement. He is a regular coach of all SRS Youth Ensembles.

Volonts studied at Juilliard School and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
